Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager directs the development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive environmental, safety and health programs for the facility. The EHS Manager provides the leadership, direction and support necessary to ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations and standards to meet or exceed relevant internal and external safety & environmental standards in a manner consistent with sound business practice. The EHS Manager must possess the ability to develop and maintain relationships with all levels within the organization to include all employees at both the corporate and plant level. The EHS Manager needs to be able to indirectly lead change across all departments.

Salary ranging from $70k - $85k, and bonus opportunity

  • Lead the employee safety program for the facility.

  • Lead safety training, conduct safety programs.

  • Maintain all OSHA documentation.

  • This individual will also be the liason to all plant and reulatory agencies.


Establishes strategic safety programs for the plant, designs and implements critical programs to achieve that strategic direction, develops safety program performance objectives and measures safety performance with KPI's and communicates status/needs to plant employees and management. Provides leadership and direction in the development, administration and maintenance of EHS compliance. Main focus will be in the areas of compliance and reporting, safety training and safety program management.

Working hours: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM


-Oversee and manage an effective overall EHS program to protect personnel, equipment, and facility

-Interpret, recommend, and comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations and/or company policies

-Assist in planning for changes in physical facilities to meet current and new environment requirements

-Write and update environmental policies, manuals, and procedures

-Develop and facilitate EHS training as required to comply with regulations

-Coordinate accident investigations, root cause analyses, corrective actions, and all required documentation

-Provides leadership and direction in the development, administration and maintenance of EHS compliance

-Works with Corporate Safety Manger to develops and implements safety policies and procedures to ensure that safety compliance is maintained

-Coordinate and review vendor safety training

-Influences and direct a culture change across the organization


Requirements for the Environmental Health Safety Engineer

? Bachelors Degree and 3 years EHS experience

? ISO 14001:2015 Auditor Certification

? CPR, First Aid, & AED certified.
