UX/UI Designer

job summary:

We are looking for a UX Designer to drive and lead critical user experiences for an email communication program. We are moving fast and looking for a strong UX Designer to partner with our team to execute on our roadmap.

responsibilities:

Responsibilities:

  • Help define the architecture, user interface, and end-to-end experience for a user-focused email communication program that spans the lifecycle of a user.

  • Create detailed wireframes, mockups, and prototypes following a user-centered process to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.

  • Collaborate closely with, or conduct, research to validate concepts, and communicate results to the teams.

  • Work with product, developer, and content teams to come up with UX designs and prototypes

  • Communicate effectively in a UX and cross-functional team. Ability to communicate conceptual ideas and design rationale effectively.

  • Take input/requirements from multiple stakeholders across different organizations. Participate in regular design reviews.

  • Develop/apply general visual style and consistent interaction patterns.

Top Three Daily Responsibilities:

  • Iterate on wireframes, mockups, and prototypes.

  • Collaborate closely with, or conduct, research to validate concepts, and communicate results to the teams.

qualifications:

BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial)

skills: Requirements:

  • 4+ years of relevant work experience

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills

  • Strong core interaction design skills, knowledge of the user-centered design methodologies, and a good understanding of usability

  • Fluency with visual and interaction design tools as well as ability to work within technical and non-technical stakeholders

Nice to Have:

  • MA/MS in design or a related field or three years of relevant work experience

  • Experience designing for tools, platforms and/or content management systems

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Platform design experience

  • Good sense and understanding of visual design

  • Prototyping or front-end development skills

  • Experience collaborating with user researchers, content strategists, product managers, and engineers

  • Familiarity with Google Material design
